Directed by Bradley J. Conomy, the videos feature interviews with cast members Matilda Brown, Alan Dukes and Kate Worsley, as well as writer/director Matthew Jenkin.

Cockatoo will next screen as part of the Flickerfest National Tour that hits 37 destinations across the country from January through to May.

Receiving a record 2200 entries this year, there will be around 45 Australian films screened in competition at the Bondi Pavilion in January and we’re honoured to be one of them! The official Flickerfest competition was announced today and it appears we’re in esteemed company, with feature film directors Nash Edgerton (The Square) and Claire McCarthy (The Waiting City) having shorts selected as well.

Tickets will be available from 16 December, 2011 with the full program and session times announced. We hope to see you there!

Our first gig with agency BMF Sydney proved a busy one with Ninja Milk providing 13 different videos for the Commonwealth Bank’s ‘Heaps Handy’ online campaign.

We were briefed to shoot three videos in one day with regular tradies around Sydney who were all in various stages of their apprenticeships or traineeships and ten informational studio videos to help tradies sort out their finances.

Below is one of the apprentice clips that we managed to shoot within 90 minutes of being on location! Scroll down for one of the studio videos we shot on green screen and provided titling for too.

The annual Nintendo Connection Tour kicked off in Victoria this year and we were delighted Traffik Experiential Marketing asked us to again provide video and editing services.

With sneak peeks at The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on Wii and Mario Kart 7 on the 3DS, fans were eagerly awaiting this year’s Tour and they weren’t hesitant in sharing their thoughts!

Our brief was to collect all video footage filmed at the events that took place around the country and deliver them within a 24-48 hour turnaround.

There’s no denying the popularity of Hugh Jackman – the Australian red carpet premiere of his new sci-fi flick Real Steel packed out the Event Cinemas on George St and kept security and police officers well and truly busy!

Here’s our interview with the leading man as he talks about the robotics used, training with Sugar Ray Leonard and what it takes to be the perfect dad!

We’ve just wrapped filming on a new short film! Cockatoo tells the story of Michael, a middle-aged man who hires a girl from an agency called Reality Dreams, where actors play the roles of anyone the client desires, be it loved ones, work colleagues, celebrities… or even dead pets.

We were thrilled to work with such an incredibly talented cast. The lead role of ‘Michael’ is played by Alan Dukes who has extensive stage credits to his name in addition to the feature film Beneath Hill 60 and is currently gracing our TV screens as Treasurer Wayne Swan in the ABC comedy At Home With Julia.

Our leading lady is Matilda Brown who plays ‘Melanie.’ She not only acts but also writes and directs her own projects including How God Works which was a finalist at last year’s Tropfest. Last year alone she appeared in several TV shows including Rake, Offspring and Underbelly and the acclaimed short film Bee Sting starring opposite Brendan Cowell.

And finally Kate Worsley plays the supporting role of ‘Redhead’… I really should have given her a name… Most recently she won the Best Actress award at this year’s Tropfest for her role in Y2Gay.

The film is now currently in post-production and we aim to have it all completed by early December – keep an eye out for more details!

San Cisco are an exuberant four-piece from Fremantle, Western Australia who kindly donated their song ‘Golden Revolver’ to The Seed album for Tunes For Change.

We had the opportunity to travel west and visit Jordi, Scarlett and the guys as they talk about writing the song and how Western Australia manages to keep producing an incredibly talented range of musicians and artists.

Below is our chat with them plus a bloopers reel… yeah, they like to giggle.

Kevin James, star of recent comedies Paul Blart: Mall Cop and The Dilemma arrived in Sydney over the weekend to promote his new flick Zookeeper.

We were at the red carpet premiere and spoke to Kevin about his new role, which animals give the best love advice and which comedians he admires and influences his style.

Back in 2004, an unknown filmmaker set out on a journey to only eat McDonald’s for every meal for 30 days. The results were frightening, enlightening and hilarious. Super Size Me brought the name Morgan Spurlock to the world’s attention and now he’s back with this third feature length documentary POM Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold.

With this film, Morgan investigates product placement in movies and TV shows and sets himself the task of getting companies to sponsor the entire film, including having commercials in the middle of it!

Morgan was recently in the country promoting the film and below is our interview with him where Matt pitches his ideas for possible animal/human crossover products… to get that joke you’ll have to watch the film which hits selected cinemas 11 August, 2011.
